Experience:
Feli Lacorte first arrived in Australia in 2004 as a recipient of AusAID postgraduate scholarship where she completed Masters in Social Administration at the University of Queensland. After working for 16 years in the Government of the Philippines, Feli migrated to Australia as a skilled Social Worker. For over 12 years, Feli coordinated and organised various multicultural community groups, and trained refugees and asylum seekers find sustainable settlement and employment in Southeast Queensland and relocate them in regional Queensland.

Throughout her career in Australia, Feli has also been extending pro-bono activities to help Filipino international students and migrants accessed job opportunities in Queensland. Since 2018, Feli established her own business called Flaglines Regional Placement Agency that supports employers in regional Australia find overseas and new employees to settle in their new environments. Currently, Flaglines covered 5 Regional Councils such as Toowoomba Region, Lockyer Valley, Southern Downs, Western Downs, and Goondiwindi Region in supporting regional employers.

Feli is the current Vice President of the Filipino-Australian Business, Industry and Communities Council of Queensland (FABICCQ) Inc, a state organisation where she holds Industry portfolio. Feli continues to lead the organisation in advocacy campaign for policy changes in employment and migration to support regional employers find suitable workers as part of her portfolio which aligned with her current role as Vice President-External Affairs of the Filipino Communities Council of Australia, at the national level.
